Program Facilitator's Message
Hello,
Welcome to the HOME Program! The HOME Program is an ALE (alternative learning experience), established in 1998 to support homeschooling families who wanted a collaborative learning partnership with the Renton School District, creating a unique hybrid public school ALE program.
My family joined the HOME Program in 2015. At that time, I was homeschooling my four children, and wanted additional academic and community support. I joined the staff in 2016, teaching elementary classes while also continuing to educate my own children at home. Now, I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead this amazing ALE as the HOME Program Facilitator.
We have an awesome team of dedicated teachers that work diligently to assist parents in their educational journey. Every scholar has a WSLP (written student learning plan), designed by a certificated teacher and the parent to set learning targets both at home and the HOME Program classes.
If you are interested in joining the HOME Program, please fill out the Interest Application form to be added to our waitlist. For more details about the HOME Program, read our Frequently Asked Questions page. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Liz Solvang
